JAI Challenge #34

Well I have been visiting a blog called Just Add Ink since it first started however I have never participated in one of their challenges. Well I'm taking the plunge and having a go at this weeks challenge which is a colour challenge. Basically anyone who wants to have a go has to make either a card, 3D object or layout using the following colours.

I'm a very card-y sort of person, so I got out all my colours (my Crumb Cake Ink Pad hasnt arrived yet) and pulled out a few of my favourite stamp sets and sat down to have a long think. And this is what I came up with.

Not a bad effort :) I've used the Inspired by Nature stamp set, some pearls and the Top Note Die.

If you want to have a look at the Just Add Ink website and some of the other wonderful creating then follow this link.

Bye for now!

Swaps for Regionals 2010 and some others....

Well I just thought that I would share the two cards that I made for the Perth 2010 Regionals that was held last Saturday. It was a great day, with it being my first Stampin' Up! event I've ever attended. It was defiantely worth it. The presentations were fantastic, with staff from the Sydney office and WA demonstrators alike getting up on stage and sharing their great ideas.

So the first card is a baby shower card (excuse the glare from the plastic). It uses the Baby Bundle stamp set from the new catalogue which you can find on page 56 and the Baby Tees Jumbo Roller Wheel which is on page 57. I made it in three different colours; Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue and So Saffron. You can't tell from the picture but the background has been done using Versamark and some of the smaller images from the Baby Bundle stamp set, which I loaded up all onto one clear block and then just started stampin away.

The second card I swapped uses the Stamp set called Flight of the Butterfly. This is one of the stamp sets that I got with my starter kit but just havent been using. I'm one of the people who has to have all the stamp sets now but then when I get them, I don't actually use them and then I buy the next stamp set that catches my fancy. I'm terrible :D. So like I was saying the second card uses Flight of the Butterfly which you can find on page 88 as well as the set Inspired by Nature on page 76. I also used the Butterfly Punch, which is a new acquisition of mine, to punch out my butterfly and then I stuck some of the Basic Jewels Rhinestones down (these are some substitutes from Spotlights as I hadn't received my order yet. I also used the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set on page 105 which has been absolutely invaluable. There is a saying for everything! I stamped my sentiment onto a Tag which has been punched out using the fabulous big shot.

Since Regionals I have received my first order from the new Catalogue. YAY! In it I order the Many Marvelous Markers as well as the new colour paper and inks packs. While I havents received the new colours I did get the new In Color's yay for me :) so today this is what I made. It uses the new In Color's Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz and Peach Parfait. The stamp set is used is the Birthday Bakery stamp set which is a level 1 hostess set. So if you would like to own that one give me a call and we can organise a workshop! I've just noticed that I am a terrible photographer :p so i'm very sorry for the cruddy pictures :)

Anyway I have a JAI entry to do...my first one ever :s so I better get onto that.

Bye for now! :)

I'm back...

Well I definately have a lot to tell you. Firstly the new catalogue is now out. YAY! There is heaps of fantastic things inside, including all the brand new colours, new clear mount stamp sets, new die cuts and embossing folders and brand new ribbon! What to buy first? Click on the link to the side which will take you to the Stampin' Up! website where you can have a look at the new catalogue. :)

Next is the new colour renovation is finally in place. All those new colours to play with? Which ones to use first? Unfortunately there was a little bit of a mix up so I haven't received my new colours yet but fingers crossed that they will arrive this week. You should check out the colour renovation flyer which you can find by clicking on the picture. It includes all the new colour kits for your markers, pastels and watercolour crayons. Also the paper and ink pad kits are great value!

Thirdly, the 2010 Perth Regionals were held on Saturday. It was fantastic. The swaps I received were absolutely amazing, so I'll be sharing those with you soon.

So for now sit down with a nice warm drink and have a click through the new catalogue. You wont regret it.

Hello to all....

Well hello.....I'm so excited that I finally have this blog looking the way I want it to. However I dont think anyone will be reading it for quite a while though :s anyway I have to get into practise. Basically the reason why I have set up this blog is because I have applied to become a Stampin Up! demonstrator and I want a place online where I can show everyone my ideas and even possibly inspire people :) I look at all the really nice Stampin Up! blogs online and can only wish that one day mine will be as great as some as them.

Well thats all for now. I just didnt want my post page looking so blank. Can't wait to get this blog well and truly started!
